A true medieval fortress located on the Eastern edge of Paris alongside the Park de Vincennes, the château de Vincennes was the home of French kings from the 11th century onward. Following the French revolution it was home to a prison, an army barracks and an arsenal. Recently restored, the medieval royal palace can once again be visited.
