Basilique Saint Denis

Located just North of the Paris city limits, this medieval church was the first cathedral built using the Gothic style of architecture. Inside you will find the tombs of French kings dating back to the 7th century. All in all the tombs of 43 kings and 32 queens are found here. A short hike, but a worthwhile visit.
